Community Guidelines
Welcome to the Ghost App community!
Ghost App is built on the principles of anonymity, privacy, and temporary communication. These guidelines help ensure our platform remains a safe, respectful space for everyone. By using Ghost App, you agree to follow these community standards.
Our Core Principles
1. Respect Anonymity
Every user deserves to communicate anonymously without fear of being identified, doxxed, or harassed. Do not attempt to reveal others' identities or share personal information about other users.
2. Be Respectful
Treat all users with respect and dignity. Disagree respectfully. Remember there's a real person behind every anonymous alias.
3. Keep It Legal
Ghost App must not be used for illegal activities. All applicable laws and regulations apply, even in anonymous spaces.
4. Temporary by Design
All groups expire after 24 hours. Use this feature responsibly. Don't use temporary messaging to evade accountability for harmful behavior.
5. Report, Don't Engage
If you encounter violations of these guidelines, report them to us at support@ghostapp.ai. Don't escalate conflicts or engage with harmful users.

- Support and empathy - Be kind to others, especially those seeking help or advice
- Constructive discussions - Debate ideas respectfully without attacking people
- Privacy awareness - Don't share personal information that could identify you or others
- Reporting violations - Help us keep the community safe by reporting abuse
- Responsible anonymity - Use anonymity for privacy, not for harm
Prohibited Content and Behavior
Illegal Content
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or exploitation
- Terrorism, violent extremism, or radicalization content
- Human trafficking or exploitation
- Sale or distribution of illegal drugs or weapons
- Copyright infringement or intellectual property theft
- Fraud, scams, or financial crimes
- Any content promoting or facilitating illegal activities
Zero Tolerance: Illegal content will result in immediate account termination and reporting to law enforcement.
Harassment and Abuse
- Bullying, intimidation, or persistent harassment
- Stalking or unwanted contact
- Threats of violence or harm (including self-harm)
- Doxxing - sharing private information about others without consent
- Coordinated harassment or brigading
- Sexual harassment or unwanted sexual advances
- Blackmail or extortion
Hate Speech and Discrimination
- Content attacking people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sexual orientation, sex, gender, gender identity, or serious disease/disability
- Slurs, dehumanizing language, or hateful imagery
- Content promoting hate groups or extremist ideologies
- Denial of violent or tragic events (e.g., Holocaust denial)
Violence and Dangerous Behavior
- Content glorifying or promoting violence
- Instructions for making weapons or explosives
- Promotion of self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders
- Graphic violence or gore (without legitimate educational context)
- Animal abuse or cruelty
Spam and Manipulation
- Unsolicited bulk messages or advertisements
- Repetitive, disruptive messages
- Phishing attempts or social engineering
- Malware, viruses, or malicious links
- Impersonation of others (individuals, brands, or organizations)
- Misleading information intended to deceive
Sexual Content
- Sexually explicit content involving minors (zero tolerance)
- Non-consensual intimate images or "revenge porn"
- Unwanted sexual content or solicitation
- Sexual services or prostitution
Reporting Violations
If you encounter content or behavior that violates these guidelines:
- Leave the group if you feel unsafe
- Take screenshots if possible (for evidence)
- Report immediately to support@ghostapp.ai with:
- Group name and approximate time
- Description of the violation
- Screenshots or specific message details
- Your phone number (kept confidential)
Emergency Situations: If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services (911, 112, etc.) immediately. Ghost App is not a substitute for emergency services.
Our Review Process
- Report Received - We receive your report at support@ghostapp.ai
- Initial Review - Our team reviews the report within 24-48 hours
- Investigation - We investigate the reported content/behavior
- Action Taken - If violations are confirmed, we take appropriate action:
- Warning to the user
- Temporary suspension (7-30 days)
- Permanent account termination
- Law enforcement referral (for illegal content)
- Follow-up - We may contact you if we need additional information
Note: Due to the 24-hour temporary nature of groups, we may not always be able to review content before it's automatically deleted. Screenshots and detailed reports are crucial.
Enforcement Actions
First Offense
Minor violations may result in a warning or temporary suspension (7-14 days), depending on severity.
Repeat Offenses
Multiple violations result in longer suspensions (30 days) or permanent account termination.
Severe Violations
Illegal content, CSAM, terrorism, or severe harassment result in immediate permanent termination and law enforcement reporting.
Appeals
If you believe your account was terminated in error, you may appeal by emailing support@ghostapp.ai with your case details. Appeals are reviewed within 7 business days.
Privacy and Confidentiality
- Reporter identities are kept confidential
- We do not share information about enforcement actions with other users
- Law enforcement requests are handled according to our legal obligations
- We may retain evidence of violations even after the 24-hour deletion period for safety and legal purposes
Special Circumstances
Mental Health Crises
If you encounter someone expressing suicidal thoughts or self-harm intentions:
- Encourage them to contact a crisis helpline (988 in the US, 116 123 in the UK)
- Report to us at support@ghostapp.ai
- Do not provide medical or psychological advice
Minors at Risk
Any indication of child abuse, exploitation, or endangerment must be reported immediately to support@ghostapp.ai. We take all such reports extremely seriously and cooperate fully with law enforcement.
Changes to Guidelines
We may update these Community Guidelines as needed. Significant changes will be announced in the app. Continued use of Ghost App indicates acceptance of updated guidelines.
Your Role in Our Community
Our community's safety depends on everyone's participation. By following these guidelines and reporting violations, you help create a space where people can communicate freely while remaining safe and respected.
